I am a recent NYU graduate, but I learned nearly everything I know while working in my high school costume shop. (Support arts funding in public schools!) Working on 8-10 productions a year, plus professionally in the Boston area over summer vacations, I fell in love with creating and altering garments, wardrobe management, and especially mentoring new members of the department.When I moved to New York, I taught beginner sewing and fashion design to kids before diverting most of my time to working in entertainment production. At NYU, I designed and managed wardrobe for a number of student film projects and worked as a dresser on theatrical productions.I currently work freelance as a production assistant in the film, television, and commercial industries. I also teach alterations at Brooklyn Sewing Academy and tailor and design clothing for private clients.NY 10009
